The Middleborough Police K-9 Unit

K9 CARO

The Middleborough Police K9 Unit was established in June of 2002 and was completely funded with donations from the community and local businesses.

The Middleborough Police K9 Unit consists of one Police Officer and one Police Dog.  Officer Jerry J. Donahue and his partner K9 Caro make up the unit.

Officer Donahue joined the Middleborough Police Department in January 2000 and is currently assigned to the patrol division.

K9 Caro is a 4-year-old German Shepard; he was born in the Czech Republic in 2001, and was 15 months old when he joined the Middleborough Police Department in June of 2002.

Officer Donahue and K9 Caro attended the Barnstable County Sheriffs K9 Training Program, where they were trained under the supervision and expertise of Director Ken Ballinger.

Officer Donahue and K9 Caro are a dual purpose K9 Team.  They have received specialized training in Patrol Work and Narcotics Detection.

The Middleborough Police K9 Team would like to thank all those that donated and supported the programs establishment and continued operation.
